“Feeling & Looking Your Best This Holiday Season”

Who doesn’t want to feel their best and look their best, especially for the holidays? Easier said than done particularly at this time of year. As women, moms, we are taking care of everyone else and somehow “we” get put to the side. Each day falls into the next and before you know it another week has passed. If you are reading this let this be the moment you stop and give yourself a few minutes to think how can you take care of yourself while still accomplishing all the holiday tasks that lie ahead. Below are a few suggestions to help simplify and beautify your holiday season.

  1. Make the commitment right this minute that moving forward you will give yourself 10-15 minutes each day to quiet time. That could be anytime that works best for you. My favorite “quiet time” is first thing in the morning. I pour my favorite flavored cup of coffee, sit in the quiet of my family room, a cozy blanket, Christmas tree lit, and go over my day. I reflect on the people/things I am grateful for, the tasks to accomplish for the day, making a conscious effort to fill my mind with positives.  * Not to enjoy this holiday season with all the joy that it brings would be quite unfortunate because before you know another year will have passed as well
  2. Make a second commitment to treat yourself to either a holistic facial at the GINAMARIE SkinCenter or do your own at home. Right now we have some awesome Holiday Spa Specials at great savings as well as our 15% savings on all of our Award Winning facial masks. Ideally, if you could carve out 20 minutes a week (not a day) your skin is guaranteed to look radiant. I promise. This little “me time” will allow you once again to settle your thoughts and de-stress while getting your skin in shape for the holidays.
  3. Make-Up. Treat yourself to some “fun” makeup. Who doesn’t like a little extra sparkle during the holidays. Now I am not suggesting you need to go full out with make-up, but adding an extra touch here and there not only accentuates our positive features but somehow makes us feel better. Makes us feel prettier. A few of my favorite shadows – Champagne Sparkle, Merlot Sparkle and Maleficent are perfect to give your eyes that little extra pop! By adding water to your shadow application you can get more versatility out of the shade. More water – lighter shadow. Less water – darker shadow. Also, a few lipstick shade suggestions: Fresh Plum (my favorite right now), Brick Red, Le Rouge, Raspberry Freeze, Posy, Ginger. All GM lipsticks are low wax and have Vitamin E added to keep your lips hydrated. Every holiday outfit needs a holiday lipstick. It truly is the finishing touch to your holiday look!
  4. Last, but certainly not least, spend “quality time” with those you love. Each of us have been blessed with good people around us. It is important to turn our focus, our energy on the “good things” in our life. No doubt that with the holidays comes stress and how easy it is for us to get caught up in this stress. Remember, you are in control of your thoughts. Sometimes it takes just a little “quiet time” and “me time” to reflect, appreciate and most certainly prioritize those people/things that matter most to us.

Wishing you a most blessed Christmas and holiday season!
