“Why Holistic Is The Way To Go With Your Skincare Regimen”

Holistic is a word that is becoming more common in the beauty industry for hair, skin, and nails. However, the concept of a “holistic” practice is not revolutionary. In fact, it has been around for thousands of years, dating back to ancient Chinese practices. Now, more than ever, holistic approaches are at the forefront of the beauty industry. Despite the multitude of interpretations of the word, the actual definition describes it best.

According to the Cambridge English Dictionary, holistic is defined as “relating to the whole of something or to the total system instead of just to its parts. Holistic medicine attempts to treat the whole person, including mind and body, not just the injury or disease.” In short, what this means is whatever is happening on the inside is going to reflect on the outside. And yes, you guessed it – your skin is the outside! Skin is an incredible diagnostic tool. Skin is the largest, uninterrupted organ of our body. It is a mirror to a person’s general well-being and because skin is an uninterrupted organ – meaning no beginning or end – everything is connected.

With this being said, caring for our skin can be so simple. Now I know we skincare companies like to keep you confused, but the truth be told – your skin needs very little. Think of your heart. How many things do you do daily, weekly, to keep your heart working? Not much. It takes care of itself for the most part. Why then, for the largest, uninterrupted organ of the body, there are SO MANY products? Day creams, night creams, eye creams, neck creams, etc. Marketing, to be quite blunt. Now, there’s nothing wrong with marketing that’s how we are introduced to products. However, the key is to have the “right education” so we can make an informed decision when purchasing. The philosophy behind GINAMARIE products is give the organ what it needs and it will respond. Some people are luckier than others. If we look at what our other organs require to stay healthy then why not assume skin needs exactly the same thing! So you ask what does skin require? Well, here you go:

The GINAMARIE skincare line has been developed to treat skin from this exact holistic perspective and meet the requirements of skin as an organ. The benefits of GINAMARIE are many, but I think what makes our products so exceptional are the results they deliver. The results are immediate. Whether you are using the Liquid Loofah Cleanser or one of our facial masks, a client can see positive changes instantly. Each of the GM products are intended to increase blood flow and that is the number one step in healing skin and maintaining healthy skin. Holistic skincare is topically duplicating what our body does internally and the GINAMARIE product line has been formulated to do just that! Our skin will change as life goes on. Understanding that what we eat and how we live has a direct effect on the health of our skin. Skincare should be simple if treated from the health standpoint.

And this, my friends, is why I started a Skin Wellness Beauty Blog: to keep you informed and educated so you can make healthy decisions. Stay tuned for next months blog. The topic is Aging with Grace.
