Since fall is FINALLY actually starting to show up around Milwaukee, I definitely have been getting a lot of questions about my skincare. I do not wear makeup to class in the morning because, in my opinion, I would rather SLEEP! I am such a night person that I will often be tired all day and then as soon as I am about to go to sleep, I feel wide awake.
With that being said, no, I do not have perfect skin; however, I (luckily) hardly ever get acne. I think I can definitely attribute that to my skincare and my routine.
I wanted to give you my 5 skin care must-have tips:
1. MOISTURIZE even if you have oily skin!
I used to be so afraid of this… my T-zone gets very oily throughout the day, but my cheeks stay dry. But, I have noticed, when you replenish your skin with oils and moisturizers at least at night, your skin will adjust and be receptive to receiving the products and not let them sit on top of the skin.
2. Don’t forget your neck!
I feel a lot of times, people do not take their skincare on their neck. Always move your hands in an upward motion toward your face… this prevents premature wrinkles and keeps the skin on your neck circulated!
Water is the #1 way to hydrate your skin. The more water you drink, the more toxins are flushed out of your body through your kidneys, and the clearer your skin will be NATURALLY.
4. Make time for skincare in the morning.
Even if this just means using a face wash. Make sure to wash the oils from the night off of your face in the morning!
5. DO NOT PICK AT YOUR SKIN.
As hard as this is, especially when you have acne, DO NOT… pick at your skin or pop your pimples. This will only make them worse, create room for spreading of acne, and create scarring!
