Importance of Routine
“Once we’re thrown off our habitual paths, we think all is lost, but it’s only here that the new and the good begins.”
― Leo Tolstoy
Today I want to talk about the importance, now more than ever, of having a healthy routine. If I asked you three weeks ago, “What is your ideal work day?”, I’m sure your responses would be filled with events such as a healthy breakfast, an energy filled day at work, and enough time at the end of the day to be with the ones you love.
With everything going on in the world today, what better time to start making this a reality than now? And similar to your ideal day, these healthy routines start with food. The food that we eat is the first line of defense against an unhealthy lifestyle, especially in regards to the health of our skin. Our diets should consist of 90 nutrients each day – 60 essential minerals, 16 essential vitamins, 12 essential amino acids, 3 essential fatty acids. Are you meeting your bodies’ daily requirements? Stay tuned for an upcoming article on more specifics about healthy eating.
Secondly, now is a great time to reintroduce an effective skincare routine. By starting your day off with a specific morning and evening skincare regimen, you can be sure your skin will respond in a positive, healthy way.
Finally, I challenge you to spend this next week focusing on positivity. In a world filled with so many negative thoughts, I hope you can take this opportunity to spend time with your families and reshift your thoughts to what is most important. By eating healthy, taking care of our skin, and staying positive, we can forge a new reality long after these uncertain times are over! Are you up for this challenge? I know I am!
